Minerals

Minerals are necessary to keep your body healthy. They are responsible for building bones, making hormones and regulating your heartbeat. There are two different types of minerals: macrominerals and trace minerals. Macrominerals are required by the body in large amounts, such as calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium. The body requires only minute amounts of trace minerals, but would not function correctly without them. Trace minerals include iron, copper, manganese, selenium and zinc.
